Yearly goals

I made some plans for this year. Somewhat ambitious as I didn’t factor in how exhausting the German lessons would be. I set myself a stupid challenge.  Can I print and paint a 2000pt 40K army in one year?

It’s not like I have enough to paint already is it?

I liked Tau, the whole idea of the (an antidote to the craziness of Orks maybe? ), the GW figures were OK, but not ideal.  Then I came across the proxies from Pipermakes. And I fell in love.

I had no idea how to make an army so I looked at various grand tournement lists and picked the one with the coolest proxies. There were some extras that weren’t on the list but I thought might be nice.

For the Kroot I plan to use Hivemind Miniatures Strider Droids because I wanted them to look different from Pipermakes because they were a different species and I plan to use a different colour scheme to further differentiate them.

For the Vespids I plan to use Pipermakes HAFOC Void Frames, her proxy Eldar, again different enough to suggest a different species.

I have planned out a schedule and it will be interesting to see if I can stich to it.

Haven’t really kept to it

I am embracing my specialness and have planned out the year. Please note I have slipped (a lot) and have been excited by other things.

I have also made some non hobby plans for the year. Stuff that I have been putting off for some time. Most of these are projects where I have been demotivated by the lack of enthusiasm from my beloved Wife. Once upon a time  we would either work together on a project or we would work alongside each other on separate projects. Now she just sits in the garden like a stranded cetacean constantly texting how miserable she is and no longer engaging in any projects. Which is a pity as she was always busy knitting, sewing, gardening or cooking.

The big quest this year is to find a job. This will be interesting as the employment office are having a hard time trying to find the right pigeonhole to put me in and as a result I am being passed around from department to department.
